Linden is a pit bull. He is 6 months old and has been at the Animal Care & Control Center in NYC since 4/18/07.
Linden is a very special dog. My husband and I spent about 40 mins with him. In the beginning of our journey with Linden, he would cower down very easily. When he saw me approaching from afar he would immediately sit, then fall to the ground. He also walked low to the ground, tail between the legs and in a hurry. Linden is too shy and insecure, so we decided to try one of Cesar's methods. We put the leash way up high on his neck and put the other end of the leash on his tail. Unfortunately, the leash on the tail kept falling down, as did the part around his neck :( We didn't give up though. We proceeded to pet the underneath of his neck from the base of his neck upward, to help him hold his head up. We then did the same with his tail. What an amazing transformation. The pictures are in order of how Linden progressed, and how beautiful this dog truly is.
Although by the end of the 40 mins Linden was noticeably a different dog, with head and tail held higher, he still needs someone who will continue to help him regain his confidence in people. He is okay with other dogs and is actually eager to play.
Linden is only 6 months old and is in need of a safe and loving home. He has great potential and has proven that he is willing to change for the better :)
