Duke - A719833 - Pit Bull

Duke is a 1 year old pit bull. He has been at the Animal Care & Control Center in NYC since 7/20/07

Duke is amazing. I love this dog. Of course you can see he walked me today. Ha, ha! But I have to say by the end of our time together he walked by my side. I enjoyed his company. We sat on the ledge and he struggled to sit on my lap. I tried to hold him in place, but he was just a little too big. He shared lots of wet sloppy kisses with me. He gave me a top quality facial and I didn't even have to pay for it :)

Duke is blind in one eye, but that doesn't stop him from having fun and enjoying life. Dogs are just amazing, especially pits. They are just number one in my book!!!!

Roun - A720257 - Amercian Staffordshire Terrier

Roun is a 10 months old American Staffordshire Terrier. He has been at the Animal Care & Contro Center in NYC since 7/23/07.

This is one big puppy!!! Roun was very quiet in his cage. He whined a bit when I kept passing by. I was reluctant to take him out because he was so big and I thought he would just pull and pull. Turns out he has something wrong with his back legs. I'm not sure what it is. Needless to say, he walked slow and rested on occasion. He is a stubborn one. He absolutely refused to go back into his cage. And he's strong so I had to get a staff member to help. It always amazes me how fast they are able to get these dogs back in their cages. I'm too soft :(

Roun is a love bug and a ladies man. He passed the men and went for the women and shared lots of kisses and hugs with us. He is definitely underweight. You can see his ribs, but once in a safe and loving home, he's going to flourish :)

Malcolm - A720437 - Pit Bull / Labrador Mix

Malcolm is a 7 month old pit bull/labrador mix. He has been at the Animal Care and Control Center in NYC since 7/27/07.

Malcolm was a ball of energy today. It was a good thing I was able to match it because he was all over the place. But what else would you expect from a puppy? In the beginning of our walk, Malcolm lead the pack, but by the end I was the leader. Yeah!! Although, my moments as the pack leader could have been because he wore himself out from playing and running, so really he was just too tired to lead :)

Anyway, he loves people. Some he approaches with caution, but once he sniffs and gets to know you, he slobbers you with kisses, jumps and just wants to have fun.

I have to mention that at one point I let go of the leash because he was pulling so much and you know, when I walked away from him, he actually ran and followed me. I'm confused, maybe I was the packleader after all :-D

Malcolm needs a home with people who have alot of energy and have the time to give him the exercise he needs.

Unknown - Pointer/Pit Mix

I had a great time with this dog. I'm going to name him Pointer. He is only a puppy, although he looks big. I think he's about 9 months.

This little one loves to play. He ended up taking the leash from me. Ha, ha. After he took it from me he trotted around the roof and flaunted it :) Then I said, "come here." and to my amazement he actually did. I was relieved.

Pointer was a joy to be with today. He truly brightened my day.

Sheeba - A716393 - American Staffordshire Terrier

Sheeba is a 1 year old American Staffordshire Terrier. She has been at the Animal Care & Control Center in NYC since 6/30/07.

Sheeba was amazing. She walked nicely by my side and enjoyed giving kisses, although I have to say she seemed a bit hesitant. I kissed her first, she'd sniff me to make sure it was okay and then she would lay it on me. She's absolutely beautiful :)

She is very skinny. Her owners gave her up because they claim they have no time for her. Didn't they have time to feed her???? Sad... This excuse is obviously a lie..

Sheeba also had a chunk of skin that was missing from her front left paw. Often she would stop and try and lick it. That must've hurt her to walk on it...

Sheeba deserves a safe and loving home
